New access to Allenspur climbing MORE INFO >>> June 2009 Update: There have been recent new developments in climbers access to Allenspur. For years the "Red Barn Antiques" property (now under new ownership) has been off-limits for use to approach the crags- all access has been via the Harper property easement. The current owners, however, are interested allowing climbers to hike to the crags via a more direct trail across the southern end of their property. The SMCC and the landowners have entered into a one-year trial period for SMCC Members and their guests to use this new approach. Description 

A great area at Allenspur that contains many of the classic climbs here such as Flake Fest, Rancho Deluxe, and Dam in the Rain. Very often busy in spring but can afford some protection from the elements for the belayer.

Getting There 

Approach via the new approach. When you reach the Boundry Crag on the right side there is another trail leading up and trending right. Follow this until you come to a section where there are many trees very close to the wall. This is the beginning of the 7-11 Area. If you miss the turn up towards the 7-11 wall you will come in around the right side of the wall directly below Flakefest.
