Description
50/50 is a long trad route which sports thoughtful gear climbing and then an alter ego technical bolted section for the top half. Start up a conspicuous left arching crack system in a right facing dihedral. Jam and layback past some OK gear to a crackish weakness. When appropriate, move left into thin technical climbing past bolts in a small right facing dihedral. Follow the bolts to the top. Perhaps not the kind of line you may want to do every visit, but it is varied, demanding, and full value. Well worth an onsight or redpoint.
The route was named for it being 50% gear, 50% bolts, as well as, the fact that Burcham did the FA on his 50th birthday.
