5 months in Switzerland

Hi everyone, this September I'm moving to Lausanne in Switzerland until february to study at UNIL. I really want to get into the climbing scene while I'm there. I was hoping to do the Matterhorn but I don't know if I'll get a chance.

I was wondering if anyone lives in the area and maybe wants to get together. I'm hoping to meet some people at the school, but who knows how that'll go. I'm trying to pick up french before I go over so that I can get in with the locals.

I don't get a chance to do trad very often, I don't have the gear. I love sport climbing though, I'm around a 5.10 climber, the best I can do is 5.11a but I'm hoping to improve before I get over there.

So does anyone live near lausanne? How's the local climbing
