bees are very active at little granite right now, and there is a bee hive about fifty feet from the base of the cone. also i saw a gila monster on the hike out to the cone, so please be mindful of your surroundings

Hiked in past the single cairn just visible from the loop trail. Dodged left to the boulders at the base of the Cone, where there was less bee activity. Throughout the day the bees stuck to the flowers and left us alone. I used a passive tricam and webbing for a TR anchor to get sufficient extension.
