Hi guys,

Probably most of you have already heard about it in gyms, but if someone doesn't know, you can find additional information here: climbersfestival.org

I'm planning to go to this fest and looking for someone how could share their experience how to get to this place cheaper/better.

My location is Mountain View, and currently I've found the flight from SFO to Riverton, WY for ~400$, with 1 stop, which I think quite expensive.

Maybe someone has experience or thoughts how to reach this place in a better way, maybe take a flight to some other state/city, rent a car, and then drive for a few hours?

Has anyone been there? What's your opinion about this west? Is it worth to go to there?

It usually will be more expensive flying into Riverton because it is a small airport in rural WY. You will connect through Denver. Your other options are flying to Denver, SLC, or Jackson and renting a car. You may want a car as well to get from the events in town to the climbing at Wild Iris and Sinks Canyon. Other options are catching a shuttle from Riverton and then trying to find partners/rides once you are in Lander. Do some research on prices for flights, driving times, etc. and see what works best for your schedule. It may be worth it to pay a little more for a flight to Riverton then drive the 6 hrs from Denver or 4.5 from SLC for a cheaper flight.

I can absolutely get you back to Boise or SLC if you have a late sunday/early monday flight home, but I can't pick you up on your way to the fest. I'll be there starting July 3rd.

I love the climbers fest. Its just a writhing mass of humanity, and tends to be a lot of fun.

Thanks for this advice.

Thanks for your kindness, but I hope I can gather a few more folks and we'll rent a car.
