September 1st I get out of the Marine Corps and I am looking to spend the fall in the Eastern Sierras, Bishop, and Yosemite to not only do some climbing but also see the fall colors. I probably won't be coming back to California anytime soon and have never been to any of these places. Figured I'd take advantage before I leave for good.
I've been stationed at Camp Pendleton the last 2 years so I've been stuck climbing in a bouldering gym to stay in relatively decent climbing shape. That been said I will probably be looking to climb long easy/moderate multi-pitch routes ranging 5.5-5.7. I realize you could easily spend a year in these places and still not see everything you would want to, but for those of you familiar with the area, what are the must do climbs, campsites, hikes (to see fall colors), etc. to do while I'm here for the 2 months?
