I didn't post this craigslist ad, but I wish I did... A soloist "MSL" incribing dates on the top?! Ridiculously poor form.

This is so stupid. Hopefully this idiot knocks this crap off. Very poor form.

Just moved outta town after a lifetime in Boulder. Have soloed the first an average of once a week for 20 years, have never seen such vandalism! I vow, if I should ever catch this POS, I will throw his marker over the side with him following..Bitch.

Dave,
You probably shouldn't murder anyone.
Best wishes,

Nathan

Matt L. He's from Westminster and that's all I know.

I was up there this morning, and since his last tag, he at least placed some new notepads in the summit register and signed them as Matt L. from Westminster.

So, Matt, if you ever read this, please redeem yourself and try to erase your graffiti without damaging the rock. The climbing community would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks,
Stefan

Totally agree, messed up. Glad someone posted. Really disrespectful place to sign your name. There’s a summit registry for a reason. Note that when I was up there last there was a sharpie in registry. I took it. Hopefully this will sabotage at least some of the graffiti.

All - please check the summit registry and make sure there are no markers anything else that can write on rock. That way at least he will have to carry the marker up with him.

To MSL / Mark L. from Westminster. STOP! It’s really not that badass to solo the first; no one cares that you did it and you certainly don’t need to write your name on the rock. Sign the f*#cking registry if you need people to know you crushed this well-traveled 5.6.

Still up there as of today. Summit register was placed there by the same guy and looked pretty new. Wonder if he saw this thread and took a new one up there instead of continuing to scribble dates on rock. It's a pretty big eye sore.

Graffiti.

Anyone want the rest of my taginator to deal with this? Maybe he'll get the message if it gets removed.

if you climb the first on a monday, keep an eye out. his last four summits were on mondays.

Wow! What a shame. Why would somebody do this? Especially after bringing your own register up and then continuing to write on the rock.

How well does that taginator work? Id be willing to make a trip up there to clean it off if o had something that would work.

Somehow I don't think he thinks it's a bad idea. Hopefully this is not for real.

" RE: 1st Flatiron(one word you dumb fuck))
I am sure you are only whining about my log so you could say you have done 300 solos. Not impressed and that only tells me you don't have a job and you live off mommy and daddy. You say my log ruins your peace and quiet. Do you yell back at my log? You talk about the , "purity of that sport". I don't consider something I mastered at three years old a, "sport" and "purity" is getting a little dramatic. You take yourself a little to seriously, after all your climbing a fucking rock. How pure are those rap anchors? I do this when I am bored and will continue to log. I use a everyday Sharpie and it will eventually come off so stop getting your panties in a bunch you faggot. I hope you do, "catch", me (ohhhh nooo I so scared) so the second you open your pole sucking mouth I can throw your fudge packing ass off the mountain. You can now have your gay, cowardly internet fight with yourself as I will not be reading or responding your dickhead posts. I'll just wait until I can kick your ass in person. Your friend, Mike"

If it is just a regular sharpie, rubbing alcohol should be enough to get it off.

I wonder if a police report could be filed. A court order to get account information and logs would find the poster. I don't know if there is enough evidence to prosecute without actually witnessing it in the act,

WOW! Is this guy for real? I could run up there Friday and scrub it off if nobody else can do it before then. How could anyone think this is ok to do? Perhaps somebody tagged his old lady a bunch of times and sharpied the dates and positions on her ass, and he is releasing his PTSD from that. What a dumb ass!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
