This looks like a blast! My best friend and I are about to spend a few weeks in RMNP this summer, and besides hiking a few favorites like the Keyhole Route at Long's Peak, we are interested in a couple low grade trad climbs. I have a couple questions for you. Just looking at this pic, isn't that a hell of a lot of gear for a 5.6? I've got a little bit of experience with trad, but mostly sport. I've got a decent rack with a full set of cams (I know most prefer doubles), three full sets of nuts, and a set of hexes. They've gotten me up all my favorite 5.7 trads where I live (mostly grade 1 or 2). I DO prefer passive pro but love a handy, quick placement from cams. Isn't that a huge rack you're carrying? Or do you know something about this route I don't? I'm truly looking for advice, so please comment back and let me know if I need to gear up some more.
