Shaking Rock - Athens GA

Hey, anybody have any experience with this area. I will be heading back to my alma mater with my new love of climbing and wanted to check it out. Any tips and insight are appreciated

It's a small local bouldering area. It's no Rock Town, so keep your expectations low and you'll have a good time

I went out a few there years ago while I was driving thru the area. Its a fun area to spend a day/weekend at. Theres some fun problems and a few highballs. Its worth checking out if your near especially since theres not much else around.

I was wondering the same thing. I live near Athens, but go to school in northern GA. I mostly climb while I'm up there but it would be cool to find an outdoor climbing area rather close to home for when I come back. Are most of the routes published?

The majority of the problems are on the topo you can find on the Shaking Rock page on MP. It's also small enough to where you can just walk around and pretty much find all the boulders without much difficulty.
