Hello guys anyone have ever experienced, Fountain blue in France, if yes I will like to know some impressions and maybe put up some pics of the place, thanks..
It's a pretty amazing place with some of the coolest holds I've ever seen and an incredible number of problems. Though it rained A LOT when I was there and it seems like that is fairly typical. Also, many of the classic lines are incredibly polished. But, it should be on the bucket list of every boulderer/climber, just for the history alone.
It is worthwhile for the history alone. They have real circuits there that are marked with very neat enamel paint. When I was there, we would just work the circuits and have a blast. All different kinds of climbing moves on some of the highest quality rock you'll find anywhere. The best way to do it is to find someone who knows the circuits and tell him/her what type of climbing you like and how hard you climb. Its all fun after that!!! You can spend days and days there....
pofableau.com/ I thought I would share this site. It is in French, but the translate works pretty well. It has mapped locations of the different circuit colors. That is another thing I forgot to mention is the color coding. I'm a moderate boulderer (V4-6), and I remember climbing a lot of orange problems. One day I'll make it back....
