PM'd you Zac. I've been poking around looking for accessible ice in Quebec - even a bit warm up there (shawbridge which us somewhat accessible) - but still a long drive.

I know it's unlikely, but I would be up to go on Thanksgiving Day? (Thursday).

For those of you keeping track of weather and ice conditions, here is a great website that will help you figure out whether or not things will be freezing up. mountain-forecast.com/

If you head to NE ice I have pictures from pinnacle last Sunday. Expect to find similar conditions this weekend and likely into next week.

That's a sweet site Max, thanks for sharing. I'd never heard of it before.

I couldn't seem to find the whites on there... Am i missing something?

Max Forbes · · Colorado · Joined Jan 2014 · Points: 108

Zac, just search the name of the mounting your looking for. Good example "Mount Washington". You can also pull up a list of every white mountain peak of you choose the range "Appalachians" and find "white mountains". This site has a huge chunk of the world on it. Once your on the right page, one of the most useful tools is the freeze elevation, lets you know when things will be freezing up.

Max,
Awesome site! Thanks.
I am looking to get out on Tuesday. I am guessing that smuggs, Washington or the dike are likely the only things that will be in.

Hoping to check out smuggs on Sunday, so I'll post some pics on NEice. I'm guessing that Huntington or the dike would be a much better bet though, it's been warm here and there was hardly anything last weekend.

Cool. I'll be eagerly anticipating your Smuggs assessment!

Max,
I'd be interested in checking out smuggs with you. Let me know what time you'll be out that way

Anybody have something planned for Friday or Saturday that I could come along? Again, I'm not a leader yet, but am a competent follower/belayer.
