Trying to not be a whiny ass brat here...

What's your thoughts yay or nay?

Its a known issue with sportivas, especially miua and katana velcros

Fix it with duct tape smeared with seam grip/shoo goo

If folks own sportiva velcros they should take some shoo goi and proactively cover those parts before that happens

I don't see you as a whiny ass brat on this one. That's lame! Thanks for posting. I'll keep an eye out for that.

Apparently its not a known issue for La Sportiva. It's abrasion caused by me and not covered under warranty.

Must have been abrading them on all those air molecules flying by on my gym sends!

^^^I'm being a jerk and paraphrasing what the rep said. But it's quite obvious to me what's going on here and I was insulted when the rep suggested otherwise.

There attachment system is so shitty its even partially abraded on the opposite side (the side holding the buckle) and that's not even a moving part per se.

They fucked up and dropped the ball. And the fact that they weren't delighted to work with me disappoints me.

Ive owned quite a few el cheapo shhuuus including climbx, mad rock, evolve, rock pillar, saltic, etc ... And none of em had strap issues beyond what was normal

Even my "better" scrarpas and 510s were fine

My sportivas however need to be shoo gooed on the straps proactively or they wear out quite fast on the straps

Hint ... Always keep yr old sportiva as you may need to canabalize straps in the future ...

Not to mention theres the delamination issues

When I've had the buckle attachments on my Katana Velcros tear like that, it has been from sticking my feet into cracks. Which is a mistake. You don't do crack climbing in the gym, do you?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
