Rain in Tonsai, Thailand.

Going to Thailand next Thursday until the end of November. The weather forecast for Tonsai is rainy most of the time. Will it hinder climbing a lot or is it just short spurts of rain throughout the day?

Yes to both. The short spurts of rain will eventually cause some of the dirt of the routes to turn into a sticky mud. This means that some of the climbs will be slippery. Regardless, we were still able to climb, not necessarily at the grade you want to climb.

I have a plane ticket to Krabi next week and it looks like Thunderstorms and rain all week.
I'm interested in climbing in Tonsai, but if the weather isn't cooperating, might be tough.

Plenty of climbing to be had even if it rains. Some of the cliffs are overhanging and you can still climb while it's raining. Plus the rain is like 90 degrees not cold like elsewhere....

Just got back from the area... Climb early in the day, it's not as hot. Rain, if it comes, is usually in the afternoon and passes quickly. Have fun!
