View from the bottom of 'D' Route. The tallest tree on top of the photo is the transition between the first and second pitch. There is a permanent anchor at this point, and bolts at the top of the second pitch.

We ended up doing this route in 3 pitches. This is me heading up to the tree anchor.

Maryland Heights are vegetated, and of mediocre rock quality, but the view makes the trip worth it.
This rope leads through the slot on the second pitch to the top of the crag, with its really striking view.
Butt shot of the crux slot on second pitch. Good gear but effort to find and place it, makes this feel like 5.5 to me.
