RAIN IN ZION 11/10/15

Rain and snow today in the park... keep that in mind if you want to climb this weekend in shady spaces. some sunny walls may still be wet.

What do you think Touchstone Wall will be like this weekend?

if it keeps up its out. however it would be safe bet that it is out. its snowing and raining with low temps... i will update each day its wet

NOAA has a weather station near the Watchman campground. Just check this page before heading to Zion to see if it's rained within the past few days:

It's my first visit here! How long should one wait after this storm to climb? Don't want to damage rock or Break holds/ have cams pull.

a local buddy of mine said to wait a solid 2 weeks after the rain, just to be safe.

Looking to make a go/no-go decision by this evening about Touchstone Wall for Saturday. I know it's generally south facing, so I'm assuming it should be dry by then. Any thoughts? It's a 5-hour drive, so I'm not super psyched to commit to that unless odds are good.

It's gonna be fine come on down. Beware of the fixed pin in the roof... the broken eyelet is really bad.
