gear left on Braille Book during rescue

On the afternoon of Saturday, October 31, I assisted in the rescue of a climber who took a bad leader fall on Braille Book. In the process of getting the injured leader and her partner to the ground, I left behind some gear -- a #2 BD C4, a black Sterling shoulder sling, and two BD wiregates -- near the top of the first pitch. Please let me know if you pick it up!

The injured leader's rope was also left behind, stuck near the top of pitch 3 but NOT FIXED and almost certainly NOT USABLE given the giant factor-two fall it caught.

Joe - thanks for the info.

Did you see this thread posted yesterday?

Climbed the route yesterday (11/1) and the red rope was in a pile at the top of pitch 1.
We were the last party up.

Joe, did not see a cam or wiregates, there was one party ahead of us but never spoke with them.
Did find 3 slings (not black) and two old biners at the bulge on P4.

Partner also found one lasportiva mythos shoe in the gully on the way down.

Thanks Chad! I'm not really expecting to get the gear back, nor do I care tremendously about it -- just thought I'd put a message out there in case whomever retrieves the gear happens to see this.

Hi all, this is her partner. Thanks for starting the thread in the main forum, I'm still not the most familiar with forum usage on Mountainproject either...

On top of using his gear, Joe and others stayed with her and comforted her until YOSAR showed up. Thank you so much. You helped save her life.

Anyway, she is doing much better now. Needed surgery to fuse a couple vertebrae, but she's got feeling in both legs, good movement in one, and limited in the other. Could start PT as early as next week!

If you have the rope, please contact me, I would like to get it back. Joe is right, please please PLEASE do not use that rope, it is not usable after that fall.

If you want more details, please contact me. She's at a hospital in the peninsula, so if you're close and want to visit I can let you know hospital/room.

Ben
