Finger pops when side of joint squeezed

My right hand has been messed up from injuries recently. There has when I squeeze my ring finger on the sides on my 2nd knuckle closer to my palm, I can feel what I believe is my tendon popping when I move the finger. It doesn't do it when it's not squeezed. Should I be worried about this? Does anyone have an idea what it is?

As your Internet doctor, who is neither trained or licensed, it sounds like a A3 pulley tear.

I prescribe seeing a real doctor, preferably a hand specialist (orthopedist).

I believe that this disclaimer should precede all posts in the injuries advice threads.
