Not that I know of... I did a minimal amount of searching and it appeared that if I kept it under $200 I wouldn't be subject to them this I placed multiple orders. Maybe there'll be a knock on my door? Anyone have anything to share about customs fees? |

Just scored a great deal on ergos in the for sale page, they look sweet! Should be a nice upgrade over the reactors I was previously using. |

Yeah, 4mm works. Youll have to cut away some of the plastic on the adjustable part of the handle |

Matt Carroll wrote:I was thinking about buying a skinny dynema sling, cutting it, and using that as it would be stronger. Thoughts? The hole might be big enough for a dyneema sling, but dyneema isn't known for holding knots well. Unless you can get someone to re-sew the bar tack, I don't think dyneema would be safe. |

I owned ergos for awhile. I always enjoyed them, even on lower angle ice. Just means modifying your swing a bit. |

Luc, thoughts on the switches? |

Zac.St.Jules wrote:Luc, thoughts on the switches?I'll end up writing a full review at the beginning of the season, I only got them out twice last spring before everything on the north aspect came crashing down. One thing for sure, if you're afraid of snapping Nomics and you're above 160#, this tool will put your mind a ease, double rivets, machined handles. I've torqued them comfortably with very little flex in the assembly. |

I think skis would be better, but it seems Silvrettas are hard to find....Hey Todd, The Billy Goat Plates are great! They are not ideal for long flat approaches because they create some drag in the snow due to a non-pivoting toe piece like a snow shoe, but they excel when the slope angle increases and they are super lite. Keep an eye out on the web and especially MP.com for some Silvrettas. They actually pop up frequently, you just have to be quick enough on the PM. -Happy Hunting:) |
