my girlfriend and I had a great start to our vacation. We just landed in Washington from Minnesota a couple of hours ago. We went for lunch in Tacoma and our car's window was smashed and all of our stuff is gone (sushi place off 6th avenue). We were going to go check out Leavenworth tomorrow but I guess that's not happening anymore. It anybody sees any of the following stuff around or for sale please contact me as soon as possible. We don't have a lot of money right now (I'm recently out of work and my girlfriend is underpayed) but we can work out some sort of financial compensation for information leading to the items return or the actually return of some of the items.

What was stolen:
• blue water eliminator 10.2mm rope (green? I'm color blind)
• black diamond momentum harness
• black diamond harness - woman's primrose
• ATC XP belay device, orange
• slings and locking biners (5 petzl am'd lockers, bd gridlock locker, metolious chocolate mini locker, 5-7 slings (2 8mm mammut, couple 10mm metolius, 1-2 thicker metolious) - lockers marked with either yellow or blue tape (yellow is me, blue is my girlfriend)
• 10 quickdraws, bd positron, mocha, marked with yellow tape
• 2 quickdraws with locking biners on all 4 biners (bd big air or something? Huge lockers - marked with yellow tape
• gri gri 2, like new, blue
• ATC guide
• tenaya Ra shoes
• evolve shaman shoes - woman's (size like 7.5 I think?)
• la sportiva mythos shoes (size like 7.5 I think?)
• Patagonia crag smith 35L pack, blue, like new
• cero torre backpacking backpack (that's the model, forgot the brand, super old and ratty, 65L + 20)
• vasque grand traverse woman's approach shoes
• trail running shoes - obnoxiously colored, haha

Also stolen was our 13 MacBook and 15 inch dell computer and my red backpack with all of my clothes and medication and books and stuff. Appreciate any help or well wishes! We're going to be in Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellingham for the next week before going back to Minnesota. Hopefully we can rent some gear and still get out tomorrow because the weather actually looks good in the eastern cascades. Shitty start to the vacation, haha.

Sorry to hear you had such a shitty welcome to my town. Unfortunately Tacoma is known for having a lot of vehicle break-ins. I will keep an eye out, hope you get your gear back. Do you have renter's insurance?

Hope you filed a police report?

Yeah we filed a police report. They didn't come out and talk to us but we told them what was stolen and hopefully they'll arrest them and get the gear back and contact us. I've been on Craigslist and don't see any of it up there.

No we don't have renters insurance and the car insurance looks like it's not going to cover it so it's all out of pocket. It's a bummer, my heart goes out to all victims of theft.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
