Id love to have a set made that matches the current form of my modified grivel quantum race tools. Anyone doing anything like that? or would anyone with the capabilities be willing to?

Hey, I do a bit of fabrication and welding work. I plan to make a set of tools this winter I will let you know how it goes.

Looking forward to seeing what you do.

What would you change compared to the Grivels you have? I assume they're not "just right" or you wouldn't be asking this question.

IME modifying a tool is a lot easier than building one from scratch. The linked post was neat, but how many people have the skills to build with carbon fiber? I recall about 10-12 years ago there was a guy in Quebec who made CF grips for ice tools; it was also a long process of trial and error.

Ive already modified the tools. I just love them so much with the modification. The tools are no longer made so just getting another pair wont be likely.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
