I understand REI needs to put their brand on this site now...but don't do it at the expense of usability/design. The mobile navigation is pretty broken after yesterday's changes:
Pro tip: these kinds of problems can be virtually eliminated with a combination of a quality front-end developer, a staging server, and user acceptance testing.
With REI's backing, we just hired our first designer and engineer (other than myself)... but the MP code is such a mess that I have not subjected the new person to it yet, so the mistakes are still all mine at this point.
We're actually going to do a total re-write (including a responsive design) over the next year.
