Just started a periodized training program a la RCTM. I am ARC'ing and I am getting some skin breakdown/blisters on the most proximal pads of my first 3 fingers. It's not heinous, just makes using jugs kind of painful.

Anyone else experience this? Any good ways of dealing with it? does your finger skin eventually just get tougher?

I tape anytime I'm ARCing more than 15 minutes.

Are you climbing on a steep wall? For me to stay on for 25-30 minutes, the wall has to be vertical to slightly overhung, in which case most of my weight is on my feet. Perhaps it's a sign that you're relying too much on your arms or over-gripping?

tape, or use holds with smoother texture.

I guess it is obvious, I will tape. I have been using a treadwall at my gym and I think it's a little too steep for where I'm at right now which doesn't help, taping and traversing seems like the way to go. Thanks for the advice.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
