Hello everyone, just try to understand how to add new climbing routes and locations to the site. Anyone know? Cheers

Go to the state you want to add the area or route to. Look for the "Improve This Page" tab and what you seek will appear there.

Ok I don't need to find a route I need to add a new one on the route guide.

Just remember you can't add both areas and routes on the same level (organizational level), so if you are going to make an area with sub areas, do that and then add routes to the sub areas. If you put routes into the larger area first you won't be able to break it down into sub areas later without the help of an administrator, who will have to rebuild it for you. That is why you also won't have the option to place routes directly in an area that already has sub areas.

Make sure you fill in the description and directions boxes and do your best checking grammar, punctuation and spelling. For directions, remember that visitors may not be as familiar with the area as you, so saying "left of route ***" is not so good. "Head right 5 minutes from when when you reach the cliff from the approach trail. It 15 ft. left of the prominent sharp arete of Fat and Happy" would be better.

..or non native English speaker. I'd rather be trolled than insult someone who's English is better than my Italian.

So this is a new area in St. Maarten? If so, go here

and click 'Add Area' under 'Improve this Page'. Now fill in the 'Title', 'Description' and 'Getting There' boxes, then Zoom in the location map and pull it so the bulls eye is over the area. Hit 'Submit'

That will make your overview area. Ideally you would then make sub areas inside that for each of the boulders and walls using the same procedure.

Once you have a sub area (boulder) area made, you can add your routes by clicking "Add Route" following the directions at the bottom of the page and filling in the boxes that make sense.

If you need help to actually move things around, contact the area administrator Kristine Hoffman or "site landlord" Nick Wilder

I hope that is reasonably clear.
