Ok so i immediately thought he was top roping and the belayer wasnt paying attention, but i guess this doesnt matter because top roping isnt climbing and what do i know, because i have gym pics online. It's amazing how cocky a lot of you are. So many assholes in one place. Definitely not my thing. If i could ban myself i would, but i can't. So im asking an admin, politely, please ban me for my inappropriate comment I made about the many people here on this forum. Thank you.

For the love of God, please listen more than you talk. You started off as the cocky asshole, even if you didn't mean to. Remember text doesn't carry tone well, and you started by wanting to punch someone for saving their climber.

Stay in the beginning climbers section until we approve otherwise please

I've been pushing for this to happen for years.

Re: CVRIV

The NE tolerates EVERYONE, so GET THE F*# OUT!!! These liberals cannot see their own double-standards. It's sad, really. Thanks for being a decent, honest person and fessing up to a mistake (you "saw it" differently the 1st time). No biggie. Be sure to wear a helmet when they rag on you about it, or they'll go up top and drop rocks on you just to prove their point.

CVRIV, I understand that you are embarrassed and frustrated. Thing is, you spoke arrogantly in the original post then when in turn folks gave it back to you, you couldnt take it.

Now how could you have phrased the original post in a way that you wouldnt get flamed? Perhaps you could have said, "Does this seem right/wrong?" or maybe, "was this the belayers fault? Was this top-rope or was the climber on lead?"

And to myself and the rest of MP, part of me feels like we are somewhat to blame for this. We condone flaming and arrogant talk, so when CVRIV, seemingly obviously a noob, comes to MP and sees that we ridicule those who make mistakes, he does the same.

You could also simply not log on, if you desire to vanish from MP. But not jumping to conclusions about the video you posted or taking an arrogant combative stance toward a belayer you don't know who did as best a job he could would have saved a lot of flaming directed at you.

Buck up sunshine, you need a little thicker skin. It's all in good fun. No death threats, no telling you to go kill yourself. You got called out, you owned up, move on. There's a lot of good info here, and some good bullshit too.

I'm not being a douche.

Dude was on severely overhanging terrain. Visibility was poor (bad lighting?) Possible exposure issues (no sleeves). Respect.

Here's a real noob - nice bread, a**hole

You pulled the online equivalent of kicking open the saloon doors and when everyone turned to look, your pants fell down and you were wearing hello kitty underwear.

We'll have our fun with you until we find someone else to torture. There is nothing you can do to change your fate.

Sorry to drift back to the OP, but I forgot to look at the clip on a bigger screen while I was at work. Only looking at it on my phone, so it's hard to tell, did the climber actually fall on the belayer? And how did he get flipped upside down?

CVRIV, you're quitting when you are halfway in! All evidence to the contrary, these people are really quite a nice little community, and have more knowledge than I've got lifetime left to listen to. The clip was a great contribution. So you made a mistake, so what? Still a good contribution! Thanks! : )

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
