I figure it's a long shot, but it can't hurt to try...
I lost my wallet somewhere at Whitehorse on 10/12. It's a brown leather wallet with my license and a few credit cards. I'm not sure if it was the parking lot, the base of the slabs, the lunch ledge, or somewhere in between (we were climbing the standard route yesterday). Didn't realize it until we were halfway back to Boston and getting coffee.
Definitely a bummer on an otherwise beautiful day.
Oh here we go again. Stashing your wallet on public land puts all of future climbing in the area at risk. Climbing Is a resource we need to preserve . Your selfish Tom foolery will inevitably get all of the east coast climbing areas shut down while land managers figure out how to deal with climbers like you and the trash they leave behind!
I called the hotel, and no one dropped it off at the front desk, so I went through to process of a replacement license, and deactivating the cards. So no need for anyone to go out of their way for this.
But if you happen to see it, I'd love to get the wallet back. It's nothing fancy, but it was a gift from my wife. I'll pay you back in beer the next time I'm in N Conway.
R. Moran. You're so right. I didn't mean to be so thoughtless...
