Looking forward to it as well. Only get there are few times a year but a quality book is needed for sure.

this is easier with a sheet feed scanner, but just remove the binding and scan it. Then bring it to Staples or OfficeMax and have a spiral binding put on it. Now you have an e-book and a hard copy. I'm slowly doing this with all my climbing books.

I have a high end sheet feed scanner (30+ pages a minute) and adobe acrobat. Takes like 15 minutes from first page to final product to create a several hundred page index-able PDF. If you had the right software I'm sure an epub format is also possible but PDF has worked well for me.
