I am hoping to go out Sunday all day to hit the Amphitheater. If it rains Saturday, does anyone know if the hike in would be too bad or if the rock would seep badly? Thanks!

The approach might be wet/gross, but should be passable. The usual climbs (Mummy, Daddy, Prow) will be fine. Start of the Mummy might be damp, but once you get into the good stuff it'll be alright.

Does Linville stay climbable through November/December?

Definitely good in November.

December is more weather-dependent, and lots of snow or ice could cause road closures. But a good day in December can be great!

Shortoff can be good all winter. It helps to rappel in and skip the descent gully. Then climb near the construction job area that faces SW. The cliff is a lower elevation than the rest of the gorge and has a tendency to dry fast.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
