Had a buddy and his girl do Sharkstooth two weekends ago. His report made it sound pretty icy. He said he was having to kick at the ice to break it off with his TCs to get a foothold, etc. I imagine it's only more significant now.

There is a lot of snow up there this morning.

I was up there a couple weekends ago too - may have been the same weekend as Jen's buddy above, there was a couple behind us. There was a little ice on the 1st pitch that made things a wee bit slippery, but after that it was fine. After today's precipitation event however, I'd imagine that it's quite snowy.

North faces were plastered with snow this weekend. A few more days of warming and cold nights, bet there will be some early ice

Toll N Ridge - icy, couple inches of snow on the N-NW ledges. Dry up to the ridge and the descent.

The Diamond is looking nice and dry (from all the way across the valley) but there is something very icy, fairly tall, and slightly discontinuous. Somewhere around the Ariana cracks. Is this is a known ice climb?

Think it will go?

The Diamond, morning of 10/12/15

Anyone know what conditions are like on Lambslide?

This time of year you can bet the seasonal snow is long gone leaving ice, very hard ice.

Saw the Navajo snowfield driving to work the other day, and maybe it was the light but it looked 3/4's black alpine ice.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
