Howdy.
Looking to do the Lost Arrow Spire(climbed it before) but cannot recall the optimal rope length for the rappel off?

Thanks!!

I've only rapped it with a 70m but if you read some of the comments, it sounds like a 60m can barely make it with a touch of down climbing.

If you have a 70 use it. Most routes at the City call for a 70 meter anyway.
If you do rap off with a 60 or 50, you can rap off to the North and tie a knot in just one side of the rope.
I've done this, the effect is a falling rope pull. Sure you drop the last ten feet, but your pulling one end of the rope through the chains at the same time. Not ideal, but its much slower than a free fall. I've done it on Delay of Game where a 70 meter rope is the perfect length.

P.S. if you snap your ankle, you'll find yourself saying something like; "this guy on the internet said this was a good idea."

Kevin,
No injuries!!! 😉
Guess I will go with a 70m, just in case.

Appreciate everybody's input.
