Closure update in Garden of the Gods

Hello MP!

As of this week, SOME closures have been lifted in Garden of the Gods. Grey Rock (aka Kindergarten Rock) is now entirely open. The Summit Ridge, East Ledges, and West face (excluding the West face of Tower of Babel) of North Gateway is also open.

The entire Tower of Babel remains closed at this time, we will post updates when this closures is lifted.

We also wanted to remind folks that chalk remains an issue. Since our last post on chalk in garden of the Gods many areas have been looking pretty good, and we also wanted to express our heartfelt thanks to the PPCA and local climbers for not only helping spread the word, but also for cleaning up some popular areas. Unfortunately, despite the cleanup organized by the PPCA chalk stains have already become very noticeable, specifically at the Snake Pits. We want to remind everyone that chalk is not allowed for climbing OR bouldering, so please spread the word!
