Orizaba? Mountaineering objectives-Anything similar? Island peak?

hey all-
I am looking at climbing pico de orizaba, cotopoxi etc- or something similar before I go for denali next summer and so forth. ideally id like something more technical than orizaba but haven't seen much that are not to time committing. WHat has been peoples success in climbing orizaba in 5 days? I haven't been to successful in finding routes that are more technical between cotopoxi/orizaba etc and somewhere alpamayo (which looks awesome and on my future list). Looking to go to /centralsouth america or or the himalayas so i can climb in spring or fall.

Im looking at also doing island peak but it seems that you only climb the last 3 days of 15 days into the climb-is island peak worth the trek for such a long approach? thanks in advance.

Cordillera Blanca for sure. Lots of options from walk-ups to advanced alpine climbs. A beautiful place and relatively safe country.
