Kinky rope

This is pure speculation but I think kinking is also related to the suppleness or stiffness of the rope. for example, I use a munter hitch quite often on both my edelrid 9.8 which is very supple and my sterling 9.2 which is very stiff. my 9.8 tends to get weighted more often with a munter hitch but my 9.2 gets kinky more often. I think that, the more supple the rope, the more resistant it is to kinking. this is purely anecdotal, though, and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Excellent full body belay technique! Can't see how she feeds slack though? Wait, wrong thread, sorry!
