Incident on Lone Peak?
|
Saw this on the news last night; clearly climbers involved but (as usual) the report describes everyone has hikers. Anyone know what happened? |

it'd be pretty embarassing to have to bivy at an urban alpine area during a supermoon, even with the "10 hour" hike out |
|
I climbed up there this past weekend and I didn't see many climbers, mainly just hikers/hunters |

They were climbing Triple Overhang and ran out of light.. they started up around 6pm after doing another climb in the Cirque |

Assuming the final video in the news cast wasn't filler footage they keep on file, it did appear to show a woman in a harness and chalk bag walking with emergency personnel.... But all's well that ends well. |

Started climbing in the 90's and over the years Ive botched the job a few times. A good bivi story sucks while you're making it. I find it comforting to know that SAR is offering a shuttle service in case you get benighted. It will only cost you your self-respect and any street credit you may have had before. The things that make the news these days. |
