Hey all, we're in the boone area, getting shut down by weather. Any recommendations for sport or trad that stays dry or drys quickly? Willing to drive a ways if needed. Thanks!

Little Wilson is overhanging sport climbs that stay pretty dry.

2.5 hours away, but the N Face of Looking Glass has a few routes that stay dry. Very well protected trad climbs like Creatures of Waste and Invisible Airwaves.

N. Face of Looking Glass and Cathey's Creek in Pisgah both stay dry in a thunderstorm. A little ways of a drive for you, but both are worthwhile! Almost everything at Catheys was dry in the pouring rain yesterday except for some of the more mellow routes. And everything from Cornflake to the Menagerie will be dry at the N. side.

In Linville: Shortoff dries quickly, and Lower Hawksbill has a number of overhanging routes that stay dry in the rain. However, this excludes condensation forming on the walls from the humidity. With all the rain they've gotten it'll likely be a day or so before anything up there is dry.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
