Just moved near Mount Diablo, and am camping there this weekend with a church group. Are there any areas that are good for beginners?

Lower Tier of Boy Scout has the Chimney and Diablo Jam. Easy, but awkward. Not sure if there's any "easy" face climbs.

Be prepared to build long anchors, and watch out for hordes of flies on the scramble up the backside.

Extend your anchor over the edge as to not add to the rope grooves in the sandstone
