Hey everybody! I'm looking for some buddies to do some late November/Early December ascents on Long's Peak, Mt. of the Holy Cross, and anything else that sounds cool. I've got good mountaineering experience, but only moved here in January and haven't found anyone that is willing to go out and do some cold-weather climbs. Anyone interested in talking more about it? I live in Denver, in Cap Hill.
You can hit me up for routes in RMNP. I live in Loveland. Cold doesn't bother me. I'm good up to 4th class and good on snow/couloir climbs. PM me if you want to talk more.
I'd like to go up Longs in the fall when it's not so busy. A dusting of snow scares of most peak baggers in my experience. I'm in Boulder.
I just hiked Mt. of the Holy Cross via Halo Ridge last weekend. It looked like there was some great ice and snow climbing on UN13,768 on Holy Cross Ridge come spring. I'd like to maybe go back for that.
I am interested in meeting mountaineering buds as well. Open to anything at this point. Have some mountaineering training (AAI) and experience (Rainier with a friend, not guide) and wanting to do more.
I'd also like to throw my name in the hat here. I won't be in Colorado for a few weeks but I will be living in Fort Collins. I have some snow experience and a bunch of rock experience. Just looking to do some cool ascents and learn from some people throughout the winter. I'm pretty much stoked to do anything!
