Pitch 1 variation. Pitch 1 & 2 variations have to be some of the very best granite crack climbing I have ever done.

Fun, little hand traverse. The belayer is obviously distracted taking pictures, not taking up slack.

We weren't setting any speed records. P5, getting dark.

Frosty sorting gear on Astro Dog. <br>
9/88.

Traversing with the pig across the base of the South Chasm View Wall on an early ascent of Astro Dog. We approached via the SOB gully, which involves rock traverses on both sides of the river and crossing the river on large boulders. Kind of a burly way to go about it, but at the time there weren't any established rap anchors, and it made for a cool rim to rim traverse.<br>
