Two fun facts about Hidden Valley, VA:
1. Gus Glitch is writing a full color guidebook and working with Ground Up Publishing on it. Release will likely be next year. Keep posted on grounduppublishing.com. If you have any photos you are interested in submitting, please PM me.
2. The Rally in the Valley event is happening Sept 12th. Many fun happenings and you can pre register for $20 at carolinaclimbers.org. Proceeds to the CCC and to the "live your dream grant" by the AAC. Ground Up Publishing will be there selling pre sales of the guide with 10 percent of funds donated to the CCC/ AAC.

We've lined up microbrews for this event and the raffle prizes keep rolling in. It's going to be a fun time at the Valley! If you plan on coming, please help us get the food numbers right by pre-registering - carolinaclimbers.org/rallyf…

I am pretty excited for this event. Anyone who is camping Friday want to partner up for Saturday morning? I do easy/moderate sport, willing to belay higher though.

are there any moderates at Hidden? Hate to waste a weekend staring at 5.12s.

Question: Will we need individual Virginia access permits to go to the crag while there, or has a group/event permit been worked out? I haven't seen anything about it in any of the promo materials for the event. Just hoping people (including me) don't show up only to find they can't (legally) climb without having purchased a permit ahead of time.

If you park at the lot at the top of the road, you need a permit. If you ride the shuttle (recommended) you don't as you are on private property the whole time.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
