Hi there,

I'm new to the area and would love to get out and climb in the Gunks. I'm looking for an experienced partner who doesn't mind climbing without someone less experienced. Hopefully I'm looking for ways to improve my skills.

I've only led a few easy laid back routes. I'm solid to top 5.9-5.10+, can lead belay.

I do not own a rack.

If you're free during the week at all I live in New Paltz and can always use a new partner

I've been climbing in the Gunks for eight or nine years, lead up to a few 5.8s but a supraspinatus injury is keeping me to not much more than 5.6's, though I'm always good for a few wired .7s and .8s like Arrow and Snookey's. If you want to work on leading some easier routes I'm happy with that. I have full rack and 70m rope. This coming Saturday Sept 5th my regular partner is away, let me know if you'd like to climb then.

Fairly new to Albany myself (Alplaus) but was a lot closer to the Gunks for the past 15 yrs so I know it well. Looking to share a ride along with the climbing?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
