Hey Montana Mountain Proj! I'm coming East from Seattle for labor day wknd Sept 4-7, and want to climb around Missoula, been looking at Kootenai, Blodgett, Rattler, and possibly Gallatin if the bitterroot valley gets rained out. I'm looking for the beta on dry walls on rainy days!?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If it rains check out Sick Bay in Kootenai. Super fun, steep lines that will be mostly dry.

Blodgett is always a great hike if its too wet to hike. Check it out of you've never been.

There are a few routes at Outermost Limits and Identity wall at Kootenai that should also be dry.

That's really about it for the Missoula, Bozeman area. I'd say Sick bay is really your best bet.

Cheers!

Haha, I'll see if I can get a rope gun up some .12s for me. I do love the bitterroot valley, lived in Missoula, before I started climbing outside. But now I got the stoke, so fingers crossed for intermittent dry day or two this weekend! Ill be sure to check out outermost and identity as well.
Thanks Josh!

Haha. Even if the grade is a little above your head its a blast to go bolt to bolt in sick bay. Lots of fun moves on jugs.

Outermost is your best bet I'd say. Great 5.8 mixed route and then you can TR any of the great variations you'd like.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
