My 1 year old tiny human and I are looking for partners to get out and climb. I work a random three nights a week and have the boy during the day. Week days would be best but any day works. Best times for us would be after nap time around noon to about 6pm. We would need 3 or more adults for everyone to climb if roping up, but might be able to get away with just 2 adults if bouldering (wouldn't be able to spot). So maybe you also have tiny/small human(s)? Or maybe you just like them? Or maybe you're new to climbing and want to learn things in exchange for holding a tiny human while Dad gets a few pitches in? Not sure, just putting this out there to see if there's any interest. The big things up front are that we will be really slow, get very few pitches in, have limited crag selection (for baby appropriate bases/approaches), only single pitch, have tons of shit to carry, and my priority will always be his needs. So maybe there are others in the same boat? About us: The boy - "Talks" constantly. Not walking yet (soon), but a very fast crawler... needs constant attention to avoid cacti, cliffs, etc. Always covered in some unidentifiable goo. Happy outside. Happy wherever really. Not a big crier. Cool with new people. Very chill. Me - Safe. Mellow. Gives attentive, soft belay. Often wears dork (belay) glasses. Loves everything from bouldering to big wall. Does not love aid or ice climbing. Located in N Denver. Climbing a dozen or so years. Has car and double rack. Let us know if interested. Even the gym would be great!

Hey Steve! Congrats on the tiny human! We never got a chance to get out climbing when I was working ER float pool over at North Suburban with you, but if you ever get out to the western slope, I'd be happy to belay/babysit.

Eddie, good to hear from ya! And thanks on the congrats. He was an even tinier human back then :). I still have your number and I'll keep you in mind next time we're out that way. Hopefully we can climb some desert cracks soon!

I have a tiny human! But I normally leave him home with his mom when I go climbing though. He is 16 months old, and my wife shelters him in a little glass bubble (which is why I don't take him climbing). It would be cool to meet other climbing parents with similar aged kids, maybe that will show my wife that it's ok to take him outside. I'll be traveling for work next two weeks, but maybe we can climb in a gym once I get back?

That sounds great! I'll send you a PM with my number, give a text/ring when you're back. I hope we can convince your wife to let him out of the bubble ;-). My wife climbs too and yours is more than welcome if she wants to join.

Steve, I have two tiny humans 4 and 11 months I can climb on Friday afternoons with both. I'd love to get out and get climbing with them and some others with similar expectations for the day as yours. My 4 year old has harness and will climb too. I know a few spots that are good places to take kids as well.
