Does anyone know of a good orthopedist they would recommend? Or anybody that I should 100% avoid? Have a messed up finger that needs fixin'

Thanks and have a good day!

For a finger/hand issue in Missoula, I would recommend Andrew Puckett at bone & joint.

I lived in Jackson for twelve years and my kids and my mom had various injuries requiring orthopedists.

Also, I was a volunteer EMT and watched several of them perform surgeries.

Dr. William Neal and Dr. Champa provided excellent care to my family. Health grades gives them both 5 stars. The injuries to my family were to arms and legs. Don't know if you want a hand specialist or not.

Since Jackson is a sport intensive area, they are all good at sport injuries from activities such as skiing, climbing, hiking, etc. The care provided by the hospital is usually very good too.

Thank you!

I am definitely looking for a hand specialist. Does anybody have any experience with Dr. Jost at Teton Orthopedic?

I have a few friends that have gone to see Heidi Jost for hand injuries. They were both quite happy with the results of their surgeries.

Dr. Jost is great. I was just going to recommend her and saw that you found her on your own ;)

Thanks Norm and Matt! I saw her a few weeks ago and felt like she wasn't listening to/understanding what I was saying but she's so highly rated by folks so maybe she was just having an off day.

I agree with her office visit manner. I cracked my tibia last winter and went to see her on a nod from my doctor. She had more x-rays done and looked at the results and got me right without any surgery and I think she was a little bored with my small injury. I've heard nothing but good things about her surgery though. Hands specifically.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
