Description Suggest change

One of the boulders with the highest concentration of problems in the Sailing Hawks area. Characterized by a steep 45 degree North-ish face. The problems range from V3 to V hard. The rock on the left side of the face is quite pebbly and it smooths out a bit as you move to the right. The landings are pretty good for the most part and the problems are all of a reasonable height, tall enough to get some good climbing in but not so tall that they get really heady. All around a very nice boulder and a must visit.

Getting There Suggest change

This boulder is at the far end of the Main Area. Follow the road up tot the first switchback and take a trail up the hill off the end of the switchback to a higher "road". Go left on this road a short ways to another trail heading up to the Warm-up Boulder, then left on the upper trail. You can also head left on the second "road" a little further to a second trail that goes straight up to the Main Area. Either way, once in the Main Area head straight or left till you see the obvious 45 degree face on your left, this is the Petrified Boulder.
