Marseille/Les Calanques

I have just arrived in Marseille and looking for climbing partners in Les Calanques. I have a car and basic gear like harness, helmet, and shoes but need a partner with rope and draws. I've climbed in the Calanques lots of times without anything getting stolen.

Lots of other people have done that also, including lots of local Marseille and Toulon climbers and lots of French climbers visiting from other regions.
Also some non-French climbers like me.

There are strategies which help reduce the risk of theft. I use some of them.

Anyway I'm glad that so many Americans are afraid to try climbing in the Calanques -- less crowding for the rest of us.

. (of course thefts from climbers never occurs in the USA).
