Trip to Park Ridge visiting family - Any gyms? What happened to First Ascent?

Dear Midwest MP Community,

I'll be in Park Ridge, IL from 08/26 to 09/01. I'd like to get a couple or three gym sessions in while I'm there. Visiting family so no time to get up to DL. What's the closest climbing gym to Park Ridge? Anyone need a lead partner for a sesh or 2 or 3?

Thanks Leo, Yeah we all called it Action Ridge growing up. Sorry but no time to hit The Lake. Haven't been back there since I moved to CO in '87.

I did find out that First Ascent opens this Friday for members and next Tuesday for everyone else. So I won't get any sessions in while I'm home either.

First Ascent is having a member's only weekend this weekend only. You need to be a member or have a 5-punch pass to get in

Can a member bring a guest?

I'll be a guest and provide a safe lead belay. Hit me up for a Saturday session! I need to pull down if I don't I'll just drink. #DLFA
