Does REI now Own our Content?

Guess you could say I was an early adopter of mountain project and have contributed lots of routes, areas, photos, etc. It is still a great site and I was and am happy to be able to contribute to it and the climbing community.

I do have a concern however that now that it is no longer privately owned will we see our pics and information used in advertising and promotions for REI? Does the user/privacy statement that was newly changed indicate that contributed content can be used by REI without our consent?

Did you see the previous threads on the sale to REI? Based on what is buried in this thread, your content will not be used differently than it is now:

Appears that yes, they could use our picks but are likely not to. Would just hope that in the event that they do they will contact us for at least a courtesy approval.
