Boulder Canyon thief

Not quite sure where to post this. If you had anything stolen from your car in Boulder Canyon yesterday, August 24th report it to the sheriff's department.

My car was parked at cob rock yesterday evening and from the top pitch I saw that it was broken in to. I was powerless, while belaying my second to do anything about it. The thief made off with my wallet, a camera, and my iphone.

The thief was smart enough to turn on my iphone this morning, where immediately my find my iphone app notified me. A quick call to the gilpin county sheriffs office, led to an arrest, the recovery of a stolen vehicle, and a bunch of miscellaneous recovered stolen items. They recovered everything, except my wallet. There were more items recovered then just my things so if something is missing it might be worth giving them a call.

Glad you got your stuff back--and they got the perp.
I hope you get your wallet back too!

I love it when thieves are outsmarted by their own stupidity.
