Going to head up from WV to ME this weekend and intend on climbing the armadillo. All the camping is full, are there good places to pull off (ninja camp) outside the state park? Thanks!

Hey, what I've done is this: when driving west from Millinocket, continue west on the main road, i think its called the golden road, instead of taking the right fork north to Baxter. this is owned by a logging co and there are lots of old log landings where you can stealth camp. there is also a nice forest service cg a few miles down where the road crosses the west branch of the penobscot. Have fun!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
