Devil's Head Update 8/7/15

Just to save people the time and frustration, drove down to Devil's Head yesterday and access gate was closed. Apparently microburst have taken down a fair number of trees. No indication of when it might reopen, but would likely call before driving in if you want to access from main parking area.

The Mile Marker 10 access and Jackson Creek access as described in Rakkup should still work just fine.

Hey there - First Time to Devil's Head - Already have flight and hotel purchased. Do the Mile Marker 10 and Jackson St. access lead to the firewatch? Zinn trail?

You can get to the fire tower and Zinn overlook from mile marker 10 but it will add a little bit to your hike. You're better off climbing Wipeyur, Jungle, Training ground, Scooter trash, Chicken head ranch or everything on the Jackson creek side like Devils gate, Weeping wall or Recovery wall.
