Feedback Wanted on app/site idea about gear sizing.

Hi MP! I had a great idea and I was wondering if there's any interest in this type of thing, I dont believe anything like this exists yet and was wondering if people would use it.

Basically the idea would be to crowd source sizing information for climbing shoes. So you would be able to make a very basic profile that just has a list of your shoes and what sizes they are. You could use this profile as a simple place to store all your sizing information. Maybe you find some used shoes and need to remember what size your shoes are. "What size were my Solutions again?"

The second function for the site is that then we can aggregate peoples sizes and create sizing recommendations. For example, I see some used shoes on MP, of a model I've never tried on. Now I can go on the site and based on the shoes I have listed in my profile, it can give me a sizing recommendation based on other peoples data.

For example if 100 people wear a Shaman's size 10, and a Solutions size 9 you can be pretty confident that you will also be a Solutions 9, since you also wear a Shamans size 10.

The site can be expanded to other high performance expensive gear. Jackets, mountaineering boots, hiking boots, etc etc etc.

Pretty decent idea. I've definitely wondered that info a time or two when ordering climbing shoes online...

Go for it. I wear everything from muira lace 42 to a 46 guide tenny, size 12 street. I am constantly (shoe whore) wondering what size for the new. Latest is Katana lace.....same as tc pro, or?
Anywho, i can see a need, and a potential revenue stream (hey, buy THESE shoes).
Go for it, before someone else does.

Yeah i suppose it is the same idea as that previous thread. Thanks for the link, I would've never found it. Theres some useful information on there, going through it now.
